Bob Martin was founded in 1892 in Southport, England where Robert (Bob) Martin manufactured vitamin and mineral powders after he recognised the need to supplement dogs’ diets. Today, the company is still owned and managed by the Martin family in the South West of England and is still growing. Manufacturing and selling a wide range of products for pet owners that are available in supermarkets, petshops and beyond.
The UK-based pet care manufacturer Bob Martin reached an agreement to acquire Nestle Purina PetCare unit in Europe. The deal was completed on 1 January 2016 and included the acquisition of Nestle Purina’s PetCare manufacturing, distribution and salesforce in France, Italy and Spain enabling Bob Martin to expand its presence in Europe. “This is an exciting time for innovation at Bob Martin. We will be able to respond to customer needs with a broader range of branded, bespoke and private label products, across all pet categories, as well as granting access to every major multiple retailer in Europe.
